RE: Would you go to this camp ground ? ?

I have never been to this place or no intent on going to it or somewhere similiar but it is less than 10 miles from my house. When it first opened it was clothing optional.
You might want to try to contact them and see how that worked out. Since it on the other side of the country I don't think you would take be taking their business and they might help you out.

RE: Sunset Trail by Crossroads

Greetings.
I learned from the Sunset Trail thread on the Crossroads forum that there is a fix to the problem. The shower floor can be supported by 2x4s inserted through the front access panel.
Check out the Crossroads forum: http://www.crossroadsrv.com/forum/default.asp
they beat me to it. I have heard the same even though I haven't tried it yet.

RE: Teaching kids fundamentals of RVing...

My kids are 7 and 4. My son drives the tractor and 4 wheeler while sitting in my lap, he has also drove the truck too. I do have the advantage of having the same farm that I learned to drive on still in the family and nearby. They also help me put the jacks down and setup camp. My daughter is very eager to help also just not quite big enough. They do fight over who gets to put the jacks down so it is usually 2 a piece.

RE: Sunset Trail

Well I guess I am the new comer, we got our sunset trail in March. We love it. It has 2 slides and is still light enough to pull with my f-150. The only problem I has was the awning leaked where it attached but the dealer had that fixed in 5 minutes. I am 6'4" and don't have problems with hanging off the bed like I did in the old camper. With the cabinets over the bed I'm afraid I am going to hit my head in the morning but haven't yet. I do how ever hit it on the slide room when reaching in those cabinets.

RE: KOA Boone, NC

i have been there and we are going this year for memorial day. The sites are on a hill but they have made terraces to give you a level spot.

RE: NC State Parks

How do we get the reservation system fixed? Hate to drive 2+ hours to Jordan lake and not have a site? Guess I will need to start writing more letters to the politicians in Raleigh!
I live 20 minutes, in rural Chatham county opposite Raleigh, from Jordan Lake, worked there during the summers for 2 years, and was camping with the cub scouts 2 weeks ago.
I have never had a problem getting a site. You might not be able to get one right on the water but you can usually get a site.

RE: Sirius satellite radio

I have xm. I haven't tried it inside yet. I have a home docking station and run the cable out the door and sit it on the A Frame.

RE: Gas prices changing your camping plans?

Well our plans haven't changed. Most of camping was planned for use at a campground we have a membership at 47 miles from home. We have 3 trips planned this summer and they are each about 3 - 4 hours from home.

RE: Does this exist in a TT?

The 1 have might be close. It has a queen upfront, sleeper sofa, and a jack nife sofa with bunk above it in the back. It has a stand up corner shower. The propane tanks are stored in the camper so the AFrame could be used to store the Generator.
Dry weight 6500 and I pull it with an f150.

RE: Myrtle Beach area -> non-sardine campground?

We usually go to pirate land. Why it is the one we can usually get a reservation for. The sites are fairly close, but I think they were larger than the site I had at Lakewood.
